A loan of $3,600 helps a member to buy 10 boxes of gas, 40 pounds of cheese, and 30 pounds of cream.

Estrella De David Group's story
Based in Jinotope, Nicaragua, the community association Estrella de David is in their 12 cycle and made up of nine members, who are characterized as being very organized. Their businesses include: selling gas, eggs, dairy products, fruits, and perfumes, and running a carpentry workshop.
Teresa Francisca is wearing the green shirt with the black skirt with flowers. She is 50 years old and single with six children (4 girls and 2 boys). One of her children studies. There are two people who also live in her home.
Her business is selling dairy products and gas. She will use this loan to buy 10 boxes of gas, 40 pounds of cheese, and 30 pounds of cream.
The challenge she has experienced in her business is when she sells on credit and some of her customers don't pay. Her dream and hope is to be able to have a general store with a variety of products. She recommends women take advantage of these loans and the Pro-Women program to learn how to run their own businesses.
