A loan helped to buy food and medicine for chickens and pigs.

Martha Del Rocio's story

Martha Del Rocio and her family live in the parish of Noboa, a place with hard-working people who specialise in agriculture and livestock to provide for their families.
Martha Del Rocio is a hard-working woman who finds a way to earn an income and she uses it to help her husband get ahead. She manages to keep things going. This is thanks to help she gets from loans and she is very grateful for these. She works rearing chickens and pigs. She buys these animals when they are small and keeps them until they reach sufficient weight. She then sells them to traders who take them to other towns to sell, or she sells the chickens by weight among her neighbours and local shops. This loan is to buy food and medicine for chickens and pigs.
